Mentorship
Imagine the shift from concept to embodied practice.
Mentorship is an invitation to give your ideas, curiosities, and longings somewhere to land. Together, we create space to explore what you're reaching toward, tend to what gets in the way, and experiment with what it might look like to bring those possibilities more fully into your everyday life. My role is to support and challenge you along the way—I may offer paths we can walk down together, but you choose the pace and direction.
Our work together
Mentorship creates space to explore what becomes possible when the dust has settled a bit and you're ready to ask, what now? Our time together might hold a creative project, a professional transition, a desire to live more intentionally, or simply a curiosity you're ready to follow. It can also be a space for those ready to take meaningful steps toward untangling from the systems and expectations that have shaped how we're told to work, create, relate, and live. We can use conversation, reflection, body-centered practices, creativity, nature connection, and other tools that support you in moving from insight toward embodied practice.
Mentorship or therapy?
Mentorship can certainly go deep, but it isn't psychotherapy. If you're experiencing acute or severe symptoms, navigating significant mental health concerns, or needing more clinical support or local resources, therapy may be the more appropriate container. Mentorship can also work beautifully alongside therapy, offering a space to explore what you're creating, practicing, or moving toward while your therapeutic work holds what needs deeper clinical care.
Investment
Mentorship asks us to make room—for our time, our attention, and yes, our financial resources. Because mentorship follows the shape of what you're working toward, our cadence is something we design together—weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on the pace that best supports your process. As the work unfolds, we'll revisit that rhythm together, letting it shift as your needs and the work itself evolve.
I hold an awareness that care and healing are not inherently transactional, while also recognizing that this work exists within systems that require financial exchange. In an effort to hold both of those truths, Taproot uses an anti-oppressive fee structure that invites clients to self-select a rate based on their current circumstances, access to resources, and needs. No proof of income or financial disclosure is required.
A note about our fee scale
The Sustain rate reflects the true cost of providing this work and a living wage. Taproot also offers rates above and below Sustain as part of our commitment to collective care and greater access to therapy. You'll be invited to thoughtfully self-select the rate that best reflects your circumstances, resources, and needs.

Things you might be wondering

Mentorship is less about recovery and more about momentum — whether you're asking what now? or you already have a clear vision and just need support getting there. You don't need to arrive with a perfectly formed goal. Curiosity and a willingness to experiment are plenty.perfectly formed goal—curiosity and a willingness to experiment are plenty. If you’ve gotten pretty good at imagining what could be—or have a long list of what ifs—mentorship can be a place to begin bringing those possibilities to life.
-
Not at all! Mentorship is less about arriving with a perfectly formed goal and more about being ready to explore what’s calling for your attention. You might bring a project, an idea, a transition, or simply a desire to practice living differently. We’ll begin wherever you are and let the path take shape from there.
-
Yes! Because mentorship is a non-clinical offering rather than psychotherapy, we can work together virtually no matter where you call home. All you need is a private space, a reliable internet connection, and a little room for curiosity.
-
That depends in part on what’s happening between our time together. We may begin weekly or biweekly while you’re building momentum, exploring new practices, or gathering the skills and resources you need to move forward. As you become more comfortable carrying the work into your everyday life, we’ll often meet less frequently—sometimes monthly or simply as needed. The goal isn’t to keep you coming back, but to support you in building what you need to keep going.
-
There’s no prepackaged timeline for mentorship—we’ll shape the length of our work together as we go. Some people come with something they want to tend for a particular season, while others value having an ongoing space to return to as new ideas and possibilities emerge. We’ll check in along the way about what’s feeling useful, what’s shifting, and whether our work together still feels supportive of where you’re headed.

The first step is simply reaching out. Use the contact form to share a little about what brings you here, and I'll be in touch with next steps. If you're ready to begin, we'll schedule our first session. If you'd like to connect first, I also offer a complimentary consultation call—a chance for us to get to know one another, answer your questions, and explore whether mentorship feels like the right fit.
